Camden Door Controls has announced the introduction of two innovative battery-operated door alarm systems, aiming to enhance security measures.
The newly launched Camden CX-DA800 Series Exit Alarms promptly alert users with auditory and visual signals when mechanically secured doors experience unauthorised entry or exit, as highlighted by Dave Malen, President of Camden, who remarked on the significance of these alarms.
In addition to the CX-DA800, Camden has also launched the CX-DA810 Series Door Prop Alarms. These devices trigger alerts when mechanically secured doors remain open beyond a set period.
Designed to suit a wide array of industry-standard mortise cylinders and cams, these universal alarms provide operators with flexibility. Both models are available in indoor versions as well as weatherised options for outdoor use, with colour choices in grey or black. Each unit also includes a mortise cylinder with two keys, offering the choice between keyed alike or keyed differently configurations.
The alarms feature a sleek design and do not require external wiring, making them convenient for installation. Users can silence the alarm either automatically after two minutes or manually using a key.
The devices can be installed on doors or frames and include a magnetic door contact, suitable for both in-swinging and out-swinging doors. Enhanced security features such as immediate triggering and loud alerts, alongside LED and buzzer notifications, contribute to the system’s effectiveness. Operating at 105 dB, these alarms are powered by a 9 VDC battery and come with a low-battery alert to ensure continuous operation.
The units are UL Listed, meeting industry standards for safety and reliability. A dedicated installation tool for the mortise cylinder is also provided, underscoring the ease of setting up these sophisticated alarms.
