Hard Rock Stadium, home to the Miami Dolphins, has implemented Verkada’s comprehensive security platform to enhance the safety and security of its venue. The stadium, with a seating capacity of 65,585, now benefits from an integrated system that combines video security, access control, guest management, intercoms, and alarms on a single cloud-based platform. This deployment allows the stadium team to manage security operations efficiently, catering to the demands of large-scale events.

The unified platform brings several advantages to Hard Rock Stadium’s security operations:

Verkada’s cloud-managed access credentials replace traditional keys and disconnected badge systems. This integration logs all door events, helping to identify anomalies across Hard Rock Stadium’s extensive campus. The platform offers the flexibility needed for different events hosted at the venue, from football games to concerts, without requiring new infrastructure investment.
The transition to Verkada’s cloud-based security system aims to reduce the stadium’s maintenance expenses. Additionally, automatic software updates provide ongoing feature enhancements without added cost. Verkada’s visual intelligence capabilities further offer insights into occupancy trends, supporting real-time staffing adjustments and operational efficiency.
Verkada collaborated with Castaway Technology and Security (CTS) to facilitate the deployment across Hard Rock Stadium. CTS utilised Verkada’s Command Connector, allowing the existing video security system to integrate with the new platform smoothly. This collaboration ensured that the security team could operate using the Verkada system immediately following the transition.
