Cloud-based access control solutions provider ProdataKey (PDK) has announced the launch of Units, a new feature designed specifically for the multi-family housing industry.
Built to transform how residential spaces are secured and managed. Units “delivers an intuitive, streamlined experience that makes it easier for property managers to control access across apartments,” according to the PDK announcement.

Units allows administrators and managers to “categorize apartments, units, condos, rooms and more into individually manageable entities,” the announcement says. Individual users and devices can be added to a Unit with customized move-in and move-out dates, “making it easier than ever to track the occupancy of a Unit and automate key processes like removing a User from their Unit once their lease has expired.”

“The Units feature has introduced an opportunity for all of our sites to handle problems of complexity in a simple and easy way,” says Couper Sorenson, PDK’s senior product manager, in the company announcement.

The Units feature “also allows for a never-before-seen level of end-user control,” the announcement says. Users will be able to generate audit trails, set schedules, view lock battery health, set up door activity notifications and more, all in the PDK Access app.

With Units, PDK “continues its commitment to delivering innovative access control solutions that are easy to deploy, simple to manage and powerful enough to meet the evolving needs of commercial and residential environments alike,” according to the company announcement.
