Nice is set to reveal its latest range of garage door operators (GDOs) at IDAExpo+ 2026, at the Sahara Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Convention Center. These GDOs are crafted with both installers and end-users in mind, offering a more intelligent and efficient approach to managing residential and commercial garage doors. They promise reliable, enduring performance, along with straightforward installation, and feature a sleek, modern design with built-in LED lighting and versatile connectivity options.
The new range comprises a modular family of products that provide dealers and installers with greater flexibility across numerous applications. With models available in DC, Wi-Fi, and non-Wi-Fi configurations, Nice offers a comprehensive selection that caters to both modern, connected setups and more traditional systems. This adaptable platform allows for seamless upgrades from non-Wi-Fi to Wi-Fi capabilities via the wall station, simplifying product selection while catering to evolving customer needs.
The IDAExpo+ will see the unveiling of the Nice 800 Series, including the Linear821 and Linear861, designed to handle larger, heavier garage doors than earlier models. This series joins the established 661 and 621 models, renowned for merging refined industrial design with cost-effectiveness.
Additionally, the lineup is bolstered by the Nice 1461J Residential Jackshaft Operator, a compact, wall-mounted solution optimal for contemporary garages with large doors and high ceilings. At a slender 4.5 inches wide, the 1461J fits tight spaces other operators cannot, while its integrated system simplifies installation.
Encompassing the 600 series, 800 series, and 1461J jackshaft operator, Nice’s next-generation GDO portfolio delivers a comprehensive range targeting diverse garage door styles and installation scenarios.
For dealers, the ability to minimise installation time and reduce service callbacks is crucial for profitability. Nice’s latest GDOs offer preset limits for easier installation, and with interchangeable chain and belt rail options, any operator head fits either configuration, reducing inventory requirements while maintaining installation versatility.
Furthermore, an integrated battery within the operator enhances longevity and allows installation in environments where power access might yet be unavailable, making these systems ideal for new construction projects.
Equipped with DC motors featuring soft start and stop mechanisms, Nice GDOs ensure smooth and quiet operation—an increasingly valued feature for today’s homeowners. The 1461J follows suit, delivering robust lifting power for demanding applications with minimal vibration and noise.
Connectivity stands as a hallmark of the new platform, with built-in Wi-Fi and the Nice G.O. mobile app enabling users to control and monitor their garage doors remotely. The app provides real-time notifications, scheduling, and secure user access management. The GDOs also integrate seamlessly with control systems like Alexa, Google Home, and Alarm.com, in addition to Nice premium security systems powered by ELAN OS.
For installations where immediate Wi-Fi usage is unnecessary, the system’s architecture facilitates easy upgrades via the wall station, ensuring long-term adaptability without needing a core operator replacement. This flexible approach positions Nice as a competitive and forward-thinking choice in the market.
