Vivint has announced two new professionally installed security and smart home systems designed to bring greater accessibility, flexibility and customization to homeowners. The new offerings, HomeProtect and HomeProtect Pro, are positioned as scalable solutions that combine professional installation, in-house monitoring and an updated app experience aimed at making connected living more intuitive.
According to Vivint, HomeProtect is intended to provide essential security and energy management features at a price point that typically aligns with DIY systems.
The system includes a new panel-less security hub, long-range keypad, three door and window sensors, a motion sensor, and 24/7 professional monitoring staffed by Vivint employees. Customers can also add devices such as a smart thermostat, video doorbell, and smart lock.
Vivint says HomeProtect is designed to meet the needs of homeowners who want the reliability of a professionally installed system without the expense traditionally associated with full-service offerings. The company points to data from Parks Associates, which shows that nearly one third of consumers seek professional help after struggling with DIY installations.
“Vivint offers everyone a simple pathway to safer, smarter, and more efficient homes, giving them the confidence and peace of mind to focus on what matters most,” said Dave Porter, managing director of Vivint.
“Vivint’s HomeProtect Pro continues to offer homeowners a superior security, comfort, and energy management home experience backed by the most intelligent and integrated platform on the market,” said William Stovall, senior vice president of marketing.
Both systems are supported by Vivint’s updated mobile app, which the company says offers more personalized control and a more intuitive interface for managing security devices, energy features, and smart home components.
Vivint emphasizes that all installations and monitoring services are handled by in-house employees, which the company says provides consistency in customer experience and contributes to its “day-one peace of mind” positioning across both HomeProtect and HomeProtect Pro.
