TDSi has announced it has achieved Cyber Essentials Certification which demonstrates the company’s dedication to fully securing its operations as well as its products and services.
Backed by the UK Government through the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), Cyber Essentials helps any size or type of organisation to protect itself and those that rely on it from a range of common and potentially dangerous cyber-attacks.
Alex Rumsey, Sales Director at TDSi commented, “Certification by Cyber Essentials provides further assurance to our customers and partners that TDSi’s IT infrastructure meets the strictest industry standards.”

“Although this is relevant for every organisation that we work with, it is particularly important for our strategic governmental and public sector customers, where a clear audit trail of cybersecurity is essential.” Alex added, “We are proud to share our certification and to add further peace of mind that, as a security manufacturer, our systems are just as secure as those that we produce and sell.”

TDSi completed the certification via an assessment by IASME Consortium Ltd, a process that involved demonstrating the cyber security of its whole IT infrastructure including onsite systems, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) elements, cloud-based systems, and externally managed IT services, along with appropriate password management, malware protection, and security updates management.

Alex added, “The certification process is designed to assess every facet of your IT infrastructure, from the devices you use for daily communications right through to servers and your core IT systems.” “No part of your IT infrastructure is fully safe and secure unless all of it is, so the certification process is necessarily thorough to ensure the business has full confidence in its systems before sharing them with all other stakeholders.”

Cyber Essentials Certification delivers quantifiable proof that an organisation is upholding the necessary standards to operate safely in a cyber world. Alex concluded, “Naturally we already knew our IT infrastructure and practices were up to scratch, but we wanted the extra third-party assurance that Cyber Essentials Certification demonstrates to the rest of the world.”

Now that Cyber Essentials Certification has been approved, TDSi plans to complete Cyber Essentials Plus Certification later in 2022. This enhanced level certification is designed to meet more stringent criteria along with an in-person technical audit conducted by an independent assessor.
