Razberi, the intelligent surveillance platform company, announces it has integrated its CameraDefense cybersecurity software with Milestone XProtect Corporate. The integration enables joint customers to manage and guard their video surveillance systems from a single user interface. Razberi CameraDefense works by automating and scaling industry best practice cyber protections and monitors for risks to IP cameras and corporate networks, according to the company.
“Many of our customers use Milestone XProtect, so merging the CameraDefense events and notification into a single management and operational dashboard creates a more efficient workflow to address cyber threats within their surveillance system infrastructure,” says Tom Galvin, Razberi CEO. “Using CameraDefense, integrators and end users don’t need additional firewall products and special expertise to consistently implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices to protect their cameras and video surveillance platform.”
Razberi says the combination of CameraDefense and the Milestone XProtect VMS creates a ‘single pane of glass’ to notify Milestone VMS operators if CameraDefense detects a cybersecurity issue. CameraDefense makes security policies – such as closing unused ports, removing unneeded network services and enforcing password complexity – easy to implement on tens, hundreds or thousands of surveillance cameras. The policies are automated with a dashboard to identify vulnerabilities across a system. If a violation occurs, CameraDefense generates an event and posts it in real time to the Milestone Alarm Manager. Events can also be routed via automated notification or other key actions using the Milestone rules and events features.
