Optex helps support alarm engineer apprenticeship scheme

Optex is supporting Pointer Ltd, a leading provider of training and qualifications for young people in the security and fire sector in the United Kingdom, and its Apprenticeship scheme through a donation of sensors and detection solutions.

A range of reconditioned Optex sensors will be used to support Pointer’s Apprenticeship training programme to give students practical hands-on security design and installation experience as part of its training and development portfolio.

Among the systems provided, Optex has donated a Redscan RLS-3060 Lidar sensor, a range of outdoor curtain PIR sensors, long-range intrusion detection sensors, and Flip X Standard indoor detection sensors.
