Mobotix AG has received the EN 54-10 certification for its new M73 Thermal Bundle featuring a 95° VGA thermal sensor. The solution fully complies with European requirements for flame detector-based fire detection systems as well as the EU Construction Products Regulation. The bundle replaces the previous 90° model – at the same price, but with significantly enhanced technological performance.

The certification is a demonstration of Mobotix’s role in the field of intelligent thermal early fire detection. System integrators, fire protection planners, and operators of industrial facilities, energy infrastructure, or waste management sites benefit from a solution that combines maximum precision with the highest level of cyber security.

The new 95° module operates at 30 frames per second (fps) with a thermal sensitivity of 30 millikelvin (mK), representing a significant performance leap compared to the previous 90° module (9 fps / 50 mK).

Key benefits include:
● Wider field of view for large-area monitoring
● Higher thermal resolution for earlier detection
● Ideal for halls, technical areas, and extensive outdoor sites

Thermal detection works independently of visual obstructions such as smoke or dust, making it faster and more reliable than conventional heat detectors or aspirating smoke detection systems.

Mobotix’s radiometric technology enables up to 20 measurement windows to be monitored from distances of up to 25 metres – fully compliant with EN 54-10 requirements.

Optionally, a 4K optical sensor can be integrated to visually document alarm events and minimize false interpretations. The new EN 54-10 bundle includes all components required for standards-compliant integration into fire alarm systems, including the Mx-NPAA Box for certified PoE+ power supply, Mx-4IO Box for connection to existing fire alarm infrastructure. Both hardware and software are fully EN 54-10 tested and come with a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.

“With the new M73 Thermal Bundle 95° VGA, we are setting a technological benchmark in early fire detection. The combination of highly sensitive thermal imaging, AI-based analytics, and full EN 54-10 certification creates a level of safety that goes far beyond conventional fire detectors. Our customers receive a robustly tested solution that detects hazardous situations before they become visible – protecting people, assets, and values,” says Christian Cabirol, CTO of Mobotix AG
