Milestone Systems is advancing security measures at Resorts World Las Vegas (RWLV) using its open platform video management software, Milestone XProtect VMS. This software forms the core of a comprehensive video ecosystem, integrating security operations, gaming compliance, and operational intelligence.
Founded in 2021 on the famed Las Vegas Strip, the resort is a high-tech haven in the United States, featuring an 88-acre property that encompasses diverse hotel brands, substantial casino areas, entertainment zones, retail outlets, and a variety of dining options, drawing thousands of visitors daily.
Ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency at RWLV requires innovative video technology to support thousands of cameras and multiple specialised applications. Milestone’s XProtect VMS provides the infrastructure needed, accommodating about 5,800 cameras in addition to multiple high-end technologies.
This open architecture enables the integration of diverse technologies that cater to gaming surveillance, fraud detection, forensic investigations, business intelligence, and operational analytics, all accessible through a unified interface. “We rely on the system every day to investigate fraud, theft, and any activity that could result in a loss. The security framework incorporates camera technologies from Axis Communications, Bosch, and Hanwha Vision, with BriefCam providing forensic video review, people counting, and heat mapping. Facial recognition is enabled by Oosto, while Aeyesky offers card-counting and cheating detection, and AXIS Case Insight facilitates foot traffic and customer behaviour analysis.
