Johnson Controls appoints Global Fields Operation VP and COO

Nate Manning has been named Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, Global Field Operations, at Johnson Controls. The role includes leading functional excellence across the company’s global field organisation of more than 50,000 employees who execute on more than $18 billion in annual revenue.

Serving more than four million customers throughout 150 countries, Nate oversees all elements of Global Field Operations including strategic oversight and world-class operational execution throughout installation, services, parts, central operations, integrated service delivery and operational transformation.

Nate joined Johnson Controls in January 2019 as the North America vice president and general manager, HVAC and Controls, and later led North America Field Operations. Nate most recently held the role of president, Building Solutions North America.

Prior to joining Johnson Controls, Nate spent nearly 30 years in various global senior leadership roles in the Aerospace and Utility, Power Generation and Distribution industries with the AES Corporation, General Electric and Eaton. In these roles, he was responsible for profit and loss, product management, engineering, commercial, manufacturing, procurement and field execution.

Nate has served a variety of philanthropic organisations, including the United Way, March of Dimes and the Atlanta Police Foundation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Dayton. He is also a graduate of GE’s Operational Management Leadership Program and the Corporate Audit Staff and is a certified Master Black Belt
