Honeywell’s Sine platform has enhanced visitor and contractor verification with the introduction of Advanced ID Check for SinePoint Pro iPad kiosks. This new feature seamlessly integrates identity verification into the check-in process, eliminating the need for manual document checks or separate workflows. The Advanced ID Check allows for rapid identity confirmation and compliance record creation, expediting visitor processing while ensuring reliable audit trails before any individual enters a site.

The system operates by prompting visitors to scan a government-issued ID, such as passports or driving licenses, at the SinePoint Pro iPad kiosk. The platform then quickly verifies document authenticity, checks expiry dates, and matches the ID photo with the visitor’s captured image. This verification is automatically appended to each visitor pass and the activity feed, ensuring thorough documentation before site entry.

For visitors, this process offers a streamlined and efficient check-in, while organisations benefit from consistent, standardised verification across all locations. The automated method removes reliance on staff to detect expired documents or discrepancies during check-in.

Every ID check generates a timestamped compliance record, providing ready evidence of visitor clearance during audits or incident reviews. Organisations can tailor verification requirements by visitor type, allowing for stringent controls over higher-risk categories or contractor access. Discrepancies are flagged, and check-ins can be held for manual approval based on the site’s specific risk profile, giving security teams oversight without hindering routine visitor flow. Importantly, only essential data is stored, with no retention of document images, numbers, or dates of birth.
