HiQview has released the new HIQ-6487 IP camera equipped with a 1/3″ CMOS sensor, one varifocal lens, and with an IP architecture for high quality, up to 4 megapixel 2688 x 1520 real time image reproduction.
The HiQview HIQ-6487 outdoor weather proof bullet IP camera has a built-in 1/3″ CMOS sensor and is mounted with a 2.8~12 mm @ F1.4varifocal lens. The images from the HIQ-6487 are compressed into formats of H.264 and MJPEG with multiple resolutions available: 2688*1520 / 1920*1080 / 1280*720 / 640*360. Under 4 megapixel resolution, the HIQ-6487 is designed to support quality images of 2688 x 1520 (4 megapixel) at 30fps real-time. Users can choose a suitable streaming format to meet different environmental conditions.
The HIQ-6487 camera enclosure has an IP66 rating for water and dust proof capabilities. As Digital Wide Dynamic Range (D-WDR) technology is deployed, the HIQ-6487 is engineered to perform effectively at all times, even under difficult lighting conditions, such as with a strong backlight or dim lighting. This is because the D-WDR uses different exposures for different subjects and lowers the light contrast to generate clear features of each subject. The DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) function on the HIQ-6487 helps to eliminate image noise and is utilised to make images crystal clear and also images that result in much smaller file sizes for transmission and storage.
The HIQ-6487 is equipped with 28 units 5φ + 2 units high-power 850nM IR LEDs to offer illumination up to a distance of 30 metres. When the sun goes down or in dark conditions, the camera will automatically switch on the IR illuminator. With this efficient range capability, the HIQ-6487 can capture and identify any objects, such as people, or vehicles, in dark ambient conditions.
The HIQ-6487 bullet-type IP camera offers a PoE power option. The PoE allows the power supply to the camera via the same cable as its Ethernet connection, making installation and system configuration simple and quick. The camera is delivered complete with a powerful VMS software – the Hiqview Vision supports system deployment and can manage up to 64 IP Hiqview cameras. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, such as retail stores, car parks, bank lobbies, ATMs, traffic intersections, airports and harbours.
