Ron Rothman, the former President of the Honeywell Security Group, with a longstanding record of building and transforming security businesses, has joined the advisory team of the growing brand that is setting a goal to redefine the user experience of existing wired security systems.
“We see a tremendous opportunity for professional installers and home automation enthusiasts to leverage the 20-30 million existing wired alarm systems,” said Nate Clark, founder, Konnected. “Our mission is to make home automation and smart home security open and accessible to everyone by connecting homes with wired alarm systems to popular automation platforms. The new products that we have coming out this winter will make it easier and faster than ever to do so.”
Rothman brings over 30 years of leadership to Konnected. He led the $3 Billion global Honeywell Security and ADI Distribution business (2010-15) that included Ademco, First Alert Professional, Alarmnet, TotalConnect, FBII, Northern and many other international brands. He is a member of the Security Sales & Integration Hall of Fame and has been recognised by several industry associations for his contributions.
“Nate and the Konnected team have done a terrific job as a new business; they’ve already sold 20,000 Systems and have a strong product roadmap planned,” noted Rothman. “Konnected is integrated with Samsung Smartthings, Home Assistant, Hubitat and Openhab, with more on the way. They have tremendous potential and energy, and I’m looking forward to helping them drive to the next level.”
