Theia Technologies, known for innovation in optics design, has been recognised among the best in machine vision by the judges of the Vision Systems Design 2023 Innovators Awards programme.

The judging panel consisted of esteemed experts from system integrator and end-user companies and were judged based on originality, innovation, impact on designers, systems integrators and end users, fulfilling a new market need, leveraging a novel technology and increasing productivity.

Theia was presented with a silver-level award for the MY23F lens and a bronze-level award for the Calibrated Lenses, both in the lighting, lenses, and optics category at the 2023 Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards presentation, held during Automate in Detroit, Mi.

“Theia is thrilled to be honoured once again for innovation in lens design not just for one lens, but for two innovations in a single year as we continue to develop technology that extends the state of art in industrial imaging. Our new MY23F lens makes available our patented Linear Optical Technology in a ruggedised and larger format, while our line Calibrated lenses will enhance image processing with individual lens characterisation. We are excited to share these powerful lens technologies with the machine vision, automation, and robotics community,” said Jeff Gohman, president of Theia Technologies.

“The Vision Systems Design team would like to congratulate Theia Technologies for their score in the 2023 Innovators Awards programme,” says Linda Wilson, Editor in Chief. “Each year this unbiased and increasingly competitive programme aims to celebrate the most innovative products and systems in machine vision. The Theia Technologies team should be very proud.”
