Suprema, known for its AI-driven security solutions, has announced that its BioStation 3 device is on track to achieve a new annual global sales record by the end of the current year. This would represent the highest annual sales figure for Suprema’s biometric technology, indicative of the rising international demand for facial authentication systems.

The surge in BioStation 3 sales reflects consistent growth across several major regions rather than a one-time increase in any particular market. Notably, there has been a more than 30 percent year-on-year increase in sales in key areas, including the United Kingdom, the Americas, Japan, and the Middle East.

Diverse deployments, numbering from 600 to over 1,000 units, have further cemented its presence in the global security sector at high-security sites, including public institutions, financial organisations, and expansive residential complexes.

Three principal features underpin BioStation 3’s global competitiveness. Firstly, its AI-powered facial authentication offers remarkable accuracy and reliable performance, providing secure and seamless access in various environments. Secondly, the user experience is tailored to meet real-world conditions, enhancing security and convenience under diverse conditions. Finally, BioStation 3’s robust data protection capabilities bolster its worldwide reputation.

The device complies with GDPR, one of the strictest data protection regulations globally, and has successfully passed the ISO/IEC 30107-3 Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) test. It employs advanced encryption techniques and the innovative Template on Mobile (ToM) authentication method, enabling users to manage their personal data directly.

Backed by these data protection and privacy measures, BioStation 3 has gained substantial trust in markets like the United States and the United Kingdom—regions traditionally cautious about adopting facial authentication due to stringent regulations.

The device is now being deployed in significant projects within these markets, with the expectation of broader acceptance across various industries next year.

BioStation 3’s impact is evident not only in sales but also in industry accolades. It received the Best Product award in the Biometrics category at the 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards, organised by Security Buyer magazine. This recognition, determined by security industry professionals, highlights the product’s innovation and market potential.

Commenting on this milestone, Hanchul Kim, CEO of Suprema Inc., remarked, “The record-breaking sales performance and global award recognition of BioStation 3 demonstrate how AI-powered facial authentication technology is rapidly establishing its presence in the global market. It is particularly meaningful that major international clients with stringent security requirements have recognised the accuracy and reliability of BioStation 3 and adopted it in real-world projects.”

He further emphasised Suprema’s commitment to addressing emerging challenges in the security sector while setting global standards through ongoing innovation
