STI’s newly redesigned Exit Stopper door alarm, the STI-6400, now flashes while it emits an audible alarm to help deter wrongful use of a protected door. The multifunction door alarm is easy to install and the stop sign shape helps deter misuse, according to the company. When activated, it sounds a warning alarm and now includes a flashing LED. Users select on location the alarm volume and length (30 seconds, three minutes or continuous).

Another option is annunciator mode. In this mode the alarm will beep several times and reset when the door is closed. When used in alarm mode, a key operated override will silence the alarm and allow authorized exits. The self-contained alarm includes symbols and 20 labels to warn in two languages. Alarm sounds when turning on or off, has a low battery warning, extended battery life mode (battery included), and has a dry contact Form C relay option. The alarm is for indoor use only.
