RailTel Corporation of India, a state-owned railway PSU, has clinched a new contract valued at Rs 51.53 crore from Central Warehousing Corporation. The contract entails the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of modern video surveillance systems across various locations in India. RailTel Corporation has been tasked with completing the project by November 30, 2029. The overall consideration for the contract stands at approximately Rs 51 crore.
Established in 2000, RailTel Corporation of India was founded with the objective of building a nationwide broadband, VPN services, and telecommunications network to enhance the operational efficiency and safety systems of the Indian Railways.
As a ‘Miniratna’ public sector enterprise (PSE), RailTel Corporation currently operates a network spanning approximately 6,000 stations across the country, including major commercial hubs.
