Prosero continues its expansion in Finland through the acquisition of Emsec Oy, a leading specialist provider of cloud-based video surveillance solutions operating in the greater Helsinki area.
Originally founded as part of Empower Group, Emsec Oy was established in its current form in 2016 through a management buy-out by Vesa Ylönen (CEO). Since the start, the company has become a technological leader and developed an innovative offering that includes cloud-based Video-Surveillance-as-a-Service (VSaaS) and proprietary analytics reporting software, where sales are based on a recurring business model. Furthermore, the company also provides services to ensure and maintain the security of telecom network rooms and infrastructure.
With a strong value proposition, Emsec has become a trusted long-term partner to customers within the public sector and critical infrastructure, property owners and managers, industrials, transportation and logistics, retail, and residential housing. In 2022, the company generated sales of EUR 2.2 million with 10 FTEs originating from the headquarters in Helsinki.
Prosero and Emsec will together be able to offer top expertise in video surveillance technology, and the acquisition is a further step in Prosero’s growth strategy and will increase the group’s ability to deliver high-quality camera solutions to a broader customer base.
