Potter Electric Signal Company, LLC is releasing the DDA analogue addressable duct detector, which provides early detection of smoke and products of combustion present in air moving through HVAC ducts in commercial, industrial and residential applications.

The DDA is compatible with the PFC-6000 series addressable fire alarm control panels, the Potter Plus panels and any panel compatible with the Potter/Nohmi addressable protocol.

The DDA analogue addressable duct detector uses state-of-the-art addressable sensors and control modules, utilising the robust Potter/Nomi digital protocol to provide the flexibility needed to tackle demanding applications. With a listed air velocity of 100 to 4,000 ft/minute, this device is built to withstand and function within a wide array of conditions and duct systems.

Tim Frankenberg, Product Manager for the Fire and Security Division at Potter said, “This product helps to round out Potter’s detection line and provide installers with installation and maintenance solutions. The sampling tubes do not require any tools for installation or testing as a test port is available for testing the installed unit as required.”
