The Optex Redscan Pro series has been nominated for the prestigious security industry prize Detektor International Award 2021, under the category Alarm & Detection. The overall winners will be announced at the Detektor International Award 2021 prize ceremony on the 27th of October at Stockholm International Fair, in conjunction with the Sectech Sweden exhibition.

The Detektor International Award was introduced in 2000 to reward manufacturers of products and services that stand up to the criteria of outstanding innovation and contribution to the advancement of the security industry.

The prestige associated with Detektor International Awards is derived from the fact that there is no formal entry process. Instead, each year, the Detektor International Awards panel of jurors analyse the security market to discover, nominate and vote on the products which demonstrate the most innovation, versatility and user-friendliness.

Designed for extreme reliability and versatility, Redscan Pro range uses Lidar technology to create a high-resolution virtual laser wall or plane up to 100m long. The series includes two models the RLS-3060V and the RLS 50100V featuring respectively 30 x 60 m and 50 x 100 m detection range in high resolution. The detection pattern is rectangular (instead of fan-shaped) allowing it to protect easily from corner to corner: facades, flat roofs of commercial buildings and perimeter structures of large installations.

The Redscan Pro sensor features an integrated panoramic assistance camera, that allows to visualise the detection area and make a first optical alignment. The series is also ONVIF protocol (Profile S) compliant, meaning it allows alarm outputs and the video stream from the assistance camera to be sent to any ONVIF-compliant network video system or IP network devices.
