Hikvision USA has released a new line of Turbo digital video recorders (DVRs) with integrated Acusense Motion Detection 2.0 technology. AI-powered Motion Detection 2.0 provides advanced functionality to analogue channels, classifying human and vehicle events without the need for manual camera configuration.

“Our new line of Acusense DVRs provide advanced motion detection features to analogue systems, helping to dramatically reduce false alarms commonly caused by animals or trees swaying in the wind,” said John Xiao, Vice President of Marketing, Hikvision USA. “This reduction in false alarms and quick target event search allows security personnel to focus on real events of interest so they can respond with increased efficiency and situational awareness.”

The Hikvision Turbo Acusense DVRs are easy to manage using the free Hik-Connect mobile app for end users. Using the Hik-Connect app, users can remotely manage their DVR with capabilities including video searching and downloading by time, password reset, efficient playback, and one-click muting.

Acusense DVRs are available with up to 8 MP recording resolution, H.265+ video compression for reduced data storage costs, 8x multi-speed playback, and 32-channel IP camera inputs. Other available smart functions include perimeter protection, such as line crossing and intrusion detection, as well as VCA (Video Content Analytics) event support.
