Maxx Vision has been appointed distributor of Hikvision’s machine vision portfolio in Germany. The Stuttgart-based distributor will carry out sales and marketing of the Chinese firm’s cameras and vision components in German-speaking countries. Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology is one of the largest suppliers of video surveillance equipment, with revenues of $4.67 billion in 2016 and more than 20,000 employees.
The company has built a range of industrial vision cameras, which it launched at the 2016 Vision show in Stuttgart. These include USB3 Vision and GigE Vision cameras, with resolutions from VGA up to 29 megapixels, and up to 814fps frame rate. Camera Link and 10GigE cameras will be coming soon. The range also includes 2k and 4k line scan cameras, a smart camera, entocentric and telecentric lenses, and embedded vision computers.
