IDIS has introduced two advanced PTZ cameras, enhancing security through robust AI and NIR functionalities. This expanded range offers an enhanced selection of PTZ cameras ideal for efficiently monitoring expansive areas such as public spaces, commercial offices, educational institutions, logistics hubs, retail outlets, and perimeter zones.
Now, South Korea’s largest surveillance manufacturer has added the NDAA-compliant 4MP AI PTZ (LightMaster) DC-S6481HRA and the Mini 5MP AI PTZ (DC-S4561WRA) to its lineup, complementing the recently launched Edge AI Plus 8MP and 6MP cameras.
Equipped with IDIS Deep Learning Analytics (IDLA), each PTZ camera is bolstered by the proprietary IDIS Deep Learning Engine. This technology aids operators and control rooms by providing precise surveillance, allowing real-time detection and categorisation of objects, differentiating humans and vehicles from irrelevant backgrounds like shadows, animals, or moving leaves.
Upon identifying a target, these PTZ cameras lock onto it and adjust the zoom and angle to maintain focus. Targets can be selected through event triggers or manual selection via client software. Auto-tracking across multiple cameras is possible, ensuring continuity in surveillance coverage.
IDLA improves operational efficiency with automated features such as object, intruder, and loitering detection. By allowing accurate distinction between humans, vehicles, and other objects, IDIS AI PTZs incorporate two-way audio and metadata, reducing false alarms and enhancing investigation speeds.
The technology facilitates quicker responses to incidents, improving proactive threat detection and evidence collection. Both PTZ cameras feature IDIS’s Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) to minimise blur and maintain high image quality during pan-and-zoom operations. IDIS Smart Failover ensures recording continues despite network disruptions.
The outdoor-ready 4MP AI PTZ (LightMaster) DC-S6481HRA boasts an NIR night vision range up to 400 metres, with an IK10 vandal-proof design and IP66 ratings for resistance to water, corrosion, dust, and ice. It’s suitable for complex environments in large commercial and industrial settings, perimeters, parking lots, and smaller public surveillance areas.
Conversely, the compact Mini 5MP AI PTZ (DC-S4561WRA) offers a 100-metre NIR range and is designed for easy installation in confined spaces, ideal for high-end locations with difficult lighting conditions, supporting discreet, high-functioning pan, tilt, and zoom capabilities.
