Powered by Hikvision’s Deep Learning algorithm, the company’s new Deepinview LPR G3 cameras offer the ability to provide detailed wide-area surveillance with the added benefit of on-board analytics.

“Our new Deepinview LPR G3 cameras combine the best in performance and value to provide security professionals with higher levels of surveillance performance and intelligence at the edge,” said John Xiao, Vice President of Marketing, Hikvision USA. “These new intelligent devices can provide heightened security at schools, corporate and industrial facilities, as well as for parking facilities, road systems and toll plazas.”

Deepinview LPR G3 cameras are designed with the ability to learn license plate information and recognise a broader range of vehicle plates than conventional LPR systems. Their powerful analytics also analyse vehicle attributes, including colour, to enhance the efficiency of video searches to ensure highly accurate vehicle identification. The combined performance and intelligence of the new Deepinview LPR G3 cameras can help reduce false alarms by as much as 95 percent by accurately classifying vehicles and human attributes, while ignoring innocuous motion events, such as blowing tree limbs or roaming animals.

Unlike traditional surveillance cameras, Deepinview LPR G3 cameras’ unique design enables clear viewing angles without the cumbersome position adjustments common to other systems. Another advantage of the new Deepinview LPR G3 cameras is their ability to produce clear images in dark environments using high light compensation (HLC). This technology reduces glare and enables the cameras to capture precise visual data, even with strong overexposure or backlighting.

Additional features include a 4 MP image sensor for high-resolution images with an automatic iris to maintain quality images in changing lighting conditions, and H.265+ compression to reduce bandwidth and storage requirements. Deepinview LPR G3 cameras are also configured in a vandal-proof IK10 housing with NEMA 4x anti-corrosion coating to protect the units in harsh environments. The series includes three lens options with a total recognition range of 2m (7 ft.) to 60 m (197 ft.)
