Almost 1,500 industry professionals attended Hikvision Insight events in Glasgow, Leeds, Bristol, London, Birmingham and Dublin. There were hands-on demonstrations of Hikvision’s artificial intelligence-powered deep learning solutions, with features including human body detection, facial recognition, queue detection and management, and illegal parking detection. Hikvision’s access control range, including controllers, card and fingerprint readers, time and attendance and facial recognition terminals, was also showcased.

Other new technologies showcased by Hikvision included:
Easy IP 4.0 cameras and NVRs – integration with AcuSense cuts false alarms and accelerate reaction times to real security threats. EasyIP 4.0 ColorVu cameras use warm, supplemental lighting to deliver bright colour video images, even at night.
Turbo Analogue HD models
Smart IP 5 Series cameras
PTZ models
HikCentral video management software
Hikvision AcuSense Turbo HD DVR, part of the analogue Turbo HD 5.0 range, which harnesses deep learning algorithms to optimise object detection
ColorVu Turbo HD cameras, also of the analogue Turbo HD 5.0 range, which provide bright colour images even in the lowest-light conditions.
Thermal bi-spectrum bullet camera – targeted at perimeter security applications, it harnesses Deep Learning algorithms in its powerful behaviour analysis to deliver smart alarms like line crossing, region entrance/exit and intrusion, and more
Latest video intercom systems – including IP, 2-wire, analogue and standalone wi-fi doorbell versions

“Our Insight events enable us to introduce these new ranges and technologies to the people who will be working with them every day,” said Justin Hollis, Hikvision UK & Ireland marketing director. “Technology in the security industry is developing at a faster rate than ever before, so providing our partners with the first chance to get hands-on experience and technical understanding allows them to make the very most of the latest functionality, and to deliver those benefits to their end user customers.”
