Gunnebo Entrance Control has successfully collaborated with UBS to implement advanced security solutions across various locations in India, focusing on facilitating controlled and reliable movement within modernised commercial office environments.
UBS offices, which often encounter heavy foot traffic during peak hours, required an efficient solution to manage large numbers of people without creating queues or delays, while also fulfilling stringent internal security protocols.
To meet the specified requirements, Gunnebo Entrance Control strategically installed over 58 lanes of Revosec and Revolite full-height turnstiles across the Kharadi, Gigaplex, and Mumbai sites. These installations form the main entrance control system, serving as the primary access management method.
The system effectively establishes a secure perimeter, enabling the smooth passage of employees and visitors each day. This setup not only prevents unauthorised access but also facilitates the steady flow of authorised personnel, even during peak times.
Aniket Mathapati, Security Systems Manager for UBS in India, stated: “We worked closely with the team at Gunnebo Entrance Control to minimise disruption and keep the building fully operational during installation. The combination of full-height turnstiles and SpeedStile units gives us a clear and reliable way to manage entry. The systems work well within our existing security setup and help maintain smooth movement through the building.”
Additionally, two SpeedStile FP 1800 BA units were deployed at key internal access points to manage movement within the building, ensuring a seamless experience beyond the main entrance.
Since their installation, the entrance control systems have become integral to daily operations, with the 58-plus lanes of full-height turnstiles accommodating most site access. Built to endure constant use, these systems, along with internal SpeedStile units, offer a multilayered security approach that balances control and practicality.
The comprehensive project underlined the critical role of Gunnebo Entrance Control from the design and specification stages through to service and maintenance, ensuring rapid service response, technical support, and the availability of spare parts to maintain uninterrupted operations.
