EZVIZ introduces the C8C as its inaugural outdoor wireless home security camera capable of panning and tilting within its globe-shaped exterior glass shell. Its sensor is rated for FHD recording, as well as night vision in color and AI-powered intruder detection.
The EZVIZ C8C is the first camera for home exteriors from this brand capable of near-360° views while recording or monitoring the property to which it is attached. It is also rated for up-to-date home-security features, including inbuilt AI to distinguish notification-worthy potential threats from things such as animals running across its field of view.
These notifications can be sent to a user’s smartphone via EZVIZ’ home security app, to which the C8C connects using single-band (2.4GHz) Wi-Fi. The app can also manage the camera’s telemetry, which comes in the form of 1080p video throughout the day or IR (albeit with the option of color in this mode) at night. It is accompanied by audio via the unit’s in-built noise-cancelling microphone. This footage can be saved either to microSD cards of up to 256GB in size, or to EZVIZ’ cloud storage.
