Comelit has supplied a new, state-of-the-art door entry system at Hampstead Reach, an exclusive Barratt Homes development of 39 apartments and six houses in a historic location in north London.
Hampstead Reach has been designed to provide a contemporary, luxurious take on the arts and crafts architecture of houses in neighbouring Hampstead Garden Suburb. The generously proportioned rooms have features such as parquet flooring and hardwood doors, while other contemporary features include LED mood lighting, bespoke kitchens with high-end appliances and a home automation system.
The apartments have been fitted with Comelit’s Simplebus 2-Wire door entry system. There are five bespoke stainless steel entrance panels with access control facility, as well as Icona door entry monitors in each apartment. The monitors feature a 16:9 4.3-inch screen with a swipe feature to reveal hidden function buttons. They have clean and elegant styling and are finished in scratch-resistant polycarbonate and brushed metal edges, reflecting the contemporary apartment interiors. Available in flush-mounted, wall-mounted or desktop versions, the satin finished monitors have a high level of acoustic fidelity.
Two-wire technology enables connectivity over long distances, providing a flexible solution that delivers cost-savings on installation. The 2-wire system allows polarity insensitive connection between external and internal components. The apartments also benefit from a Simplehome home automation system to control the LED mood lighting. This is controlled by a Mini Touch unit which sports a slim, compact profile.
The townhouses have Comelit’s IP-based VIP door entry system, combined with Simplehome home automation to control the lighting and heating. Being IP-based, the VIP system has no distance limitations and is able to provide an unlimited number of users with simultaneous video and audio communications, while at the same time enabling remote connection and diagnostics
