ELK Products has unveiled the AEXCELL series of cellular communicators for the Alarm Engine E27, designed to offer consistent cellular connectivity and comprehensive panel access. This new addition helps dealers lower monthly service costs by integrating cellular support without incurring extra fees.

Unlike many alternatives that require separate charges for cellular services, the AEXCELL line includes connectivity as part of ELK’s ElkConnect interactive service. This integration enables dealers to incorporate cellular communication while retaining a full IP connection with the alarm panel, bypassing the need for additional service providers and reducing ongoing service expenses.

The ELK-AEXCELLA (AT&T) and ELK-AEXCELLV (Verizon) modules connect directly to the E27 control’s RS485 bus, with a streamlined auto-enrollment process to facilitate quick installations. Cellular service is facilitated and monitored through the ElkConnect platform, offering installers a unified dashboard for system access, service activation, and billing management.

In configurations where IP serves as the primary mode of communication, AEXCELL units provide a cellular fallback in case of internet disruption via LAN or Wi-Fi. Additionally, they can function as standalone cellular communicators, enabling installations in locations without IP connectivity and eliminating the complexities of network setup.
