By leaving the bulk of cybersecurity duties to the IT department, other departments become neglected and therefore vulnerable to security threats. 3. The life cycle of security products doesn’t matter.
Keeping the life cycle of your security products in order is one of the most important tasks a surveillance company can do to ensure their products and services maintain a desired level of cybersecurity protection. “As part of that lifecycle, the ongoing security posture of a system must be measured, assessed, and reported upon,” Currie says. “We have to make sure that the system fits within the boundaries of acceptable risk over time.”
