Civintec launches latest IoT web-server Crystal reader

Civintec has released its latest innovative IoT-Web-Server based Crystal touch reader; it is a keyless design for hands-free operation and access via NFC, BLE. The new device is a true IoT solution enabling a system to be managed online via PC or Web server. The Crystal reader is of an extremely durable exterior design. With IP65 rating certified, this standard compliance makes the device ideally suited for indoor and outdoor installations. Additionally, a built-in 125KHz &13.56MHz and ISO7816(T=0,T==1) SAM module reader adds an additional element of greater security. For further security, a tamper alarm switch ensures that attempts to damage or destroy the device will not go quietly or unnoticed.

The Crystal is a mobile key used as an access credential by a smartphone through NFC or BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy. The device has been embedded for advanced secure smart cards with Mifare, Mifare Plus, Desfire EV1 & Desfire EV2 with DES/3DES/AES encryption and has an SAM slot for secure data encryption. There are user controllable relay outputs and tamper alarms included for electric door lock access control. These innovative technologies and features will help to create a versatile customised system. Civintec offers a GUI user interface with configuration tool software that can be customised for remote system settings for 3rd party partners.

The Crystal is designed to support wire and wireless communication to work with most of brands of controller on the market. Equipped with Ethernet TCP/I:P with HTTP protocol and web-server, the Crystal reader can be easily built up into a cloud solution with software management. The solution allows the users to manage access and time attendance for a small amount of staff or visitors in applications – such as hotels, small offices and cleaning services for example.
