Continuing its efforts to integrate home access control into smart homes, the Chamberlain Group has launched its myQ Outdoor Battery Camera and first-ever myQ Video Doorbell.
Chamberlain Group boasts these new products aren’t just new additions to its lineup—the company says these products represent a significant step toward realizing its goal to build a fully integrated access and monitoring ecosystem.
With the new myQ Outdoor Battery Camera and Video Doorbell the company states it is extending myQ’s capabilities beyond the garage, reaching the front door and the outer perimeter of the home through the convenience of the myQ app.
Helping to set the products apart Chamberlain Group suggests is the products’ built-in intelligence. Through smart detection, customizable alerts, and its new Smart Secure feature, myQ doesn’t just notify homeowners when something happens. It reacts through functions such as automatically locking doors or closing the garage based on what it sees.
The company goes on to say that it understands that no two homes or homeowners are the same. Because of these factors, Chamberlain Group continues, its myQ Outdoor Battery Camera and Video Doorbell offer users flexibility. This flexibility includes a choice of wired or wireless installation and the ability to mount the products in locations such as the garage, porch, or backyard fence.
Moreover, Chamberlain Group adds the products provide weatherproof reliability through the ability to stand up to everything from summer heat to winter storms.
