The Baseus S1 Lite is a newly launched smart security camera, being sold through Baseus’ official store, shipping is handled by Amazon. The S1 Lite is designed for quick and easy installation, which could prove especially handy for an outdoor setting. It is equipped with a solar panel and a 5,200 mAh battery, allowing it to operate an entire day with just 2.25 hours of sunlight. This means strategically placing the device in a sunlit location could render manual charging unnecessary.
Moreover, the S1 Lite supports both local storage on a microSD card (up to 512 GB) and data transfer over Wi-Fi, eliminating the need for a wired connection. It captures footage at 2K resolution with a 135° field of view and records at 15 fps. Whilst the frame rate may not provide the smoothest visuals, it isn’t necessarily a drawback for a security camera as it helps conserve storage space. A 100-lumen spotlight and IR LEDs enable the device to capture videos in either color or black and white. Additional features include AI motion detection, customisable monitoring zones, and two-way audio for direct communication with anyone in view of the camera.
