Ceco Door has announced the new Mercury 2 Energy Efficient Adjustable Thermal Break Frame. The Mercury 2 is an adjustable depth energy efficient frame that incorporates a bonded thermal break with a Pemko S44 compression type weather-stripping.
There are five adjustable frame depths with the new thermal break design, each with 2 inches of adjustably ranging from 4.5 to 14.5 inches. The new design allows flexibility for irregular wall conditions and is a perfect product to inventory for short lead-time projects that require energy efficient openings.
The Mercury 2 thermal break frame has been independently tested according to NFRC and ASTM test methods for thermal performance with the Trio-E door resulting in a U-Factor of 0.36 and resistance to air infiltration measuring 0.01 cfm/ft2 which is ten times better than the previous Mercury design.
Mercury 2 features:
• TQ2 Series double rabbet profile
• Five adjustable frame depths with 2” range of adjustment from 4.5” to 14.5”
• Maximum 4’0” x 8’0” single three piece KD or Welded
• 16 or 14 gauge cold rolled or zinc coated steel face sheets
• Tested to NFRC 102 thermal standard and NFRC 400 air performance standard
• EPD and GREENGUARD documentation submitted and pending approval
• Perfect inventory item for quick lead-time projects requiring energy efficient openings
• Ten times better air infiltration protection than previous Mercury design
