Gunnebo Safe Storage has launched TransitGuard, a mobile vault solution engineered to deliver certified physical security in areas lacking permanent secure infrastructure.
Constructed in a reinforced container format, TransitGuard is certified with the European burglary resistance standard (EN1143-1), making it ideal for operations such as defence, security missions, and critical infrastructure projects where traditional vault installations are impractical.

TransitGuard’s design makes it compatible with existing logistics and transport systems, whether by road, rail or sea. Once in position, it serves as a protective storage environment for field equipment, classified documents, and other sensitive materials. TransitGuard offers flexibility for both short and extended deployments based on operational necessities and risk assessments.

Additionally, it can be configured with various security grades, electronic locking mechanisms, and internal layouts tailored to specific needs. Options like internal lighting, power integration, and environmental controls enhance its usability across diverse conditions.

According to Jacob Duhan, Head of Defence at Gunnebo Safe Storage, “Organisations are increasingly required to secure high value or sensitive assets across temporary sites, transit points and decentralised operations, where a traditional vault infrastructure cannot be installed. TransitGuard was developed to address this by extending certified vault level protection to environments that were previously difficult to secure to the same standard.”

The launch of TransitGuard signifies a shift towards managing physical security that aligns more closely with the assets themselves rather than their location. As assets are frequently moved between permanent and temporary facilities, security measures must adapt accordingly.

Jacob Duhan adds, “By applying recognised security standards to mobile storage, organisations can better align risk management, compliance and operational continuity across transport and deployment phases. This proactive approach in launching TransitGuard helps ensure protection levels remain consistent, regardless of where the asset is located.”
