Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel, located approximately 30 minutes from Seattle, Washington, bears the name of the Native American tribe known as the “People of the Moon”.
The casino features nearly 1,800 slot machines alongside 58 Vegas-style table games. Since 2015, the casino has employed Dallmeier’s video surveillance technology, with recent expansions further integrating these solutions. Spanning the entire property, video surveillance covers critical areas including gaming floors, dining establishments, car parks, and behind-the-scenes zones.
Over the past decade, Dallmeier’s system has demonstrated exceptional reliability and scalability in meeting evolving technological demands. Recent renovations and updated internal protocols now necessitate the expansion of this proven surveillance network, as noted by Jolene Stewart, Executive Director of Security and Surveillance at Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel.
Meeting regulatory mandates set by the Washington State Gambling Commission requires continuous surveillance, prompting system modifications to align with new operational needs.
The project prioritised adherence to regulations while ensuring guest and employee safety. Important factors included system dependability, process enhancements, and seamless adoption of new technologies without overhauling existing infrastructure.
The expansion utilises exclusive Dallmeier components, integrating the Hemisphere® SeMSy® (version 5) video management system with Domera® cameras, equipped with neural networks and edge analytics for sophisticated video analysis. The motorized three-axis design allows for flexible remote adjustments.
Centralised management of the 1,500 cameras, combined with efficient video data evaluation, highlights the scalable nature of the solution. The implementation was collaboratively executed with North American Video (NAV), strategically adapting the system to meet spatial and operational guidelines. “The longstanding partnership has been vital in creating a targeted solution that satisfies our specific requirements,” stated Joe McDevitt, President of Dallmeier USA.
“Our commitment to expanding video security technology over the years has seen impressive results,” says Jolene Stewart, underlining the high reliability and maintenance efficiency of the system. These features are crucial for everyday casino operations. Financially, the technology offers significant savings: “Reliability is a substantial cost factor, and the absence of major replacements or unexpected service issues speaks volumes,” she adds.
