The Lixus Beach Resort in Larache Morocco, the heart of a historic and idyllic region, is characterised by contemporary architecture which is perfectly immersed in its authentic environment. This beach resort recently chose Uniview technology to protect its staff and clientele with a new high tech surveillance system.
The resort deploys high-end infrastructure across a high-quality natural space that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and borders a beautiful cork oak forest. Spread over 5 hectares, the club hotel is centered on the concept of well-being, fitness and sport.
There were some specific requirements from the Lixus Beach Resort manager with regards to the new safety and security measures. For example, video surveillance: the provider was required to deliver high-quality and aesthetically pleasing products to cover all of the main roads and public activity places. Additionally, the resort required outstanding image quality, with clear and stable imagery. The UNV cameras used support a high level of waterproofing with an IP rating of IP67 in order to ensure they work reliably in the humid environment. Additionally, conventional image display format which is 16:9 would miss a lot of information when monitoring long and narrow areas such as a corridor. UNV corridor mode helps to reduce unnecessary monitoring regions and show more details of the relevant monitoring area. All UNV network cameras use a POE function to supply the power, making it very convenient for the Lixus Beach Resort manager to maintain the same power source or line. The network cameras are also integrated with H.265 advanced video compression technology together with self-developed compression technology, called U-code, which according to Uniview reduces bandwidth usage by up to 95%.
