3S System Technology Inc., a member of Tssia (Taiwan Safety and Security Ind. Association) as well as c/o Cub Elecparts Inc. since 2021, has just launched a brand-new mini dome AI camera for smarter transit safety.
The 3S mini dome AI camera is purpose-built for public transportation. Its lightweight design and EN50155 certification ensure stable operation even under challenging conditions such as bumps, vibrations, and temperature fluctuations. With built-in AI, it recognises passenger behaviour, counts people, detects unusual events, and delivers real-time alerts—helping transit operators enhance passenger safety and keep services running smoothly.
The 3S mini dome AI camera combines robust hardware with advanced imaging capabilities, delivering reliable performance for transit environments. With an adapted 5-megapixel 1/2.8″ CMOS Sensor, the compact dome camera is designed to capture clear and detailed video. With a built-in fixed 2.8mm F2.0 lens, the camera offers optimising wide-angle coverage inside vehicles. It supports H.264 / H.265 / MJPEG triple codec for flexible streaming in transmission and storage at smooth, high-resolution footage (max. 2560×1920 @ 30fps recording resolution and performance).
Incorporating a removable IR-cut filter (ICR) , it enables the camera to capture crystal-clear images with high accuracy for both day and night monitoring. IR LEDs promise reliable low-light performance at 100ft / 30m range. The housing of the 3S mini dome AI camera is compliant to IP69K weatherproof and IK10 vandal-resistant standards for durability in usage and operation. Further, the mini dome camera series is EN50155 certified offering to guarantee stable operation in harsh transit conditions.
Thanks to advanced AI analytics, the camera continuously monitors conditions inside the vehicle, providing accurate passenger counts and detecting unusual events in real time. Instant alerts enable operators to respond quickly, optimise schedules, and manage passenger flow more effectively. Ideal for buses, trains, and metro carriages, it makes transit safer, more reliable, and easier to manage.
