LILIN North America, the U.S. entity of IP video provider Merit LILIN, joins more than 50 security industry ImmerVision-certified solution providers in integrating the video standard into its new F2R36C2IM 12-megapixel and F2R3682IM 8-megapixel panoramic IP cameras.
That standard provides the cameras the ability to instantly capture and navigate within 360° images, according to an announcement.
Certification confirms that both cameras meet the specified field of view, focal plane field, and distortion profile of ImmerVision Enables, the recognized standard for 360° solutions and applications, while offering ease of device integration with many certified software applications. By incorporating the ImmerVision panomorph lens, both cameras bring 360° panoramic coverage to indoor and outdoor video surveillance, enabling a single camera to visually monitor all activity in very large spaces, such as a hotel lobby or a parking lot, according to the announcement.
The cameras can provide a single 360° view, four individual views from the same source or two 180° perimeter views in a single frame, and display them all side-by-side in live or playback modes. By doing the work of four or more standard IP cameras, the F2R36C2IM and F2R3682IM eliminate any blind spots, while dramatically reducing overall system cost-of-ownership, according to the announcement.
Features like 2D wide dynamic range (WDR) technology and day/night imaging, coupled with 3D noise reduction, helps the cameras deliver high-quality video images under extremely bright as well as poorly lit dark conditions, or where stark back lighting contrasting is present within a scene. In addition, both cameras offer IR LED to ensure a radiant distance up to 20 meters (65.6 feet) for secure nighttime viewing. Digital pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) lets security staff scan an entire room live in detail, even while the full 360° is being recorded so that no event is missed. Moreover, the rugged cameras are rated IP67 weather-proof, and IK10 vandal-proof, and offer H.265/HEVC and H.264/AVC bandwidth-efficient video compression.
