Cortech Developments and technical partner, Ruswin, have partnered to deliver a major security integration project for a leading international educational institution in Indonesia.

According to Cortech, this initiative demonstrates the power of collaboration between technology providers and systems integrators, combining local expertise with advanced software innovation to create a safer, smarter campus environment.

At the heart of the solution is Datalog, Cortech’s powerful integration and monitoring software, which provides the institution’s facilities and security teams with a unified platform for managing multiple building, safety, and security systems across its extensive campus.
Centralised command and control

As one of the largest international schools in the region, the client required a centralised command and control solution to enhance campus-wide safety and operational efficiency.

The key objectives for the project were to:
● Safeguard students, staff, and visitors by providing reliable, real-time visibility of events across all learning spaces, sports facilities, boarding areas, and administrative buildings.
● Centralise operations so that the control room could monitor and manage alarms from multiple subsystems through a single interface.
● Streamline incident response by reducing operator workload and ensuring rapid response to safety or security events.
● Future-proof the campus in supporting ongoing expansion and upgrades across academic and residential facilities
Ruswin, a leading security integrator with deep experience in the education and government sectors, partnered with Cortech to design and deliver a Datalog-based solution that met these needs. The success of the project was built on close collaboration between Cortech and Ruswin from design through to delivery.

The Datalog system was configured to integrate multiple technologies, including CCTV for visual verification and incident recording; access control for secure management of student and staff movement; intruder alarm systems to detect unauthorised access; and, fire detection systems for life safety and rapid evacuation response.

By bringing these diverse subsystems together into a single, unified interface, the Datalog platform gives operators clear situational awareness and consistent control across the entire campus.

Cortech’s software is designed for open compatibility with multiple manufacturers, allowing the school to integrate best-in-class technologies from different suppliers without being locked into a single vendor. This flexibility also ensures that the system can evolve in line with future site developments or technology upgrades.

The integrated Datalog solution has delivered significant operational improvements for the institution and, according to the company, exemplifies how Cortech’s Technical Partner model enables scalable, tailored solutions for the higher education and international school sector. By combining Ruswin’s in-country expertise with Cortech’s Datalog technology, the project delivered a robust, integrated platform that enhances safety, operational efficiency, and peace of mind for the entire campus community.
