RecFaces, renowned for its facial recognition software, has unveiled significant enhancements to its premier products, Id-Guard and Id-Gate. These updates promise to introduce improved accuracy, security, and usability to a diverse range of users globally. The updated systems are powered by an advanced facial recognition algorithm, currently ranked among the top five by NIST worldwide.
This upgrade substantially boosts the identification accuracy and consistency of the systems, particularly in low-light situations or when faced with partial face visibility, ensuring quicker and more reliable recognition in practical settings.
The latest versions extend their accessibility by incorporating Portuguese language support, targeting users across Latin America and other Portuguese-speaking regions. This move aligns with RecFaces’ dedication to making cutting-edge biometric technology accessible on a global scale. Farida Baichora, Product Owner at RecFaces, highlighted that customer feedback heavily influenced these upgrades, emphasising that user needs guide enhancements such as easier configuration, increased automation, and improved system integration.
The enhanced Id-Guard now presents users with a smarter, more adaptable facial recognition platform for video surveillance systems. It is fully compatible with Avigilon Unity Video VMS, further broadening its interoperability with certified, pre-integrated global security platforms. This allows users to establish comprehensive, cross-platform security frameworks.
The updated user interface offers greater personalisation with custom dashboards and themes, alongside bookmarks for quick access to significant events. Improved filtering and data processing simplify forensic investigations, with functionalities such as emotion or headdress sorting—a beneficial tool in complex investigative environments.
Moreover, newly introduced group operations facilitate the simultaneous management of multiple cameras, profiles, or devices, minimising manual errors. Improved synchronisation between RecFaces solutions aids large-scale deployments, while features like automatic profile creation and duplicate profile detection enhance data accuracy and reduce operational time.
The new iteration of Id-Gate, RecFaces’ biometric access management software, offers a more secure and seamless access control experience. With support for the OSDP protocol, the system now ensures encrypted communication between terminals and access systems, thwarting unauthorised meddling and fortifying data security.
The addition of a VMS-ACS adapter allows both systems to run concurrently, enabling comprehensive monitoring and management of video and access events within a unified workflow.
The interface has gained flexibility, permitting users to generate personal reports, customise dashboards, and bookmark crucial records. New workflow tools, such as Access Schedules, assist in managing employee permissions according to specific times and locations.
Group operations have simplified configuration updates across numerous devices, and improved duplicate detection and filtering enhance everyday system utilisation, optimising the overall efficiency of security management.
