I-Pro has reported that it is in the final stage of obtaining the ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its Artificial Intelligence (AI) management systems. Once completed, according to the company, this certification will make I-Pro the first company in the physical security industry to reach this level of ethical AI governance, reinforcing its commitment to transparency, accountability, and security in AI deployment.
Published in December 2023 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), ISO/IEC 42001 is the first international standard for AI management systems. It sets best practices for the ethical development and use of AI systems, focusing on risk management, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement—key elements in building trustworthy AI. As AI continues to transform physical security, ISO/IEC 42001 ensures that companies like I-Pro follow a structured framework for risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and ethical AI deployment.
I-Pro has been at the forefront of AI research and development for many years, offering innovative camera hardware that utilises edge AI technology in the security, public safety, and medical fields.
