Gunnebo Entrance Control is taking a significant step forward in its North American growth strategy with the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Duncan, South Carolina. According to the company, this expansion more than doubles Gunnebo’s production capacity, reinforces our commitment to localised manufacturing, and enhances its ability to provide customer-focused solutions.

As the business continues to grow, the company stresses that it is essential to bring key manufacturing operations closer to its customers. The Duncan facility will allow Gunnebo to increase efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve supply chain resilience. According to the company, this is a firm commitment to ensuring it can deliver high-quality solutions with greater speed and reliability.

Starting in 2025, the facility will manufacture Security Doors, Speed Gates, Full-Height Turnstiles, and Retail Gates, expanding Gunnebo’s ability to serve the unique needs of the North American market.

In a statement the company explains that this investment is about more than just capacity—it is focused on efficiency, innovation, and customer satisfaction. By producing key product lines domestically, it can offer faster production and delivery times, and enhanced supply chain efficiency.

“As we continue to grow in North America, expanding our manufacturing capabilities locally is a crucial step,” said Mike Slauson, VP BU Entrance Control North America. “The new facility in Duncan allows us to scale production while improving delivery speed and reducing costs for our customers.”

The opening of the Duncan facility is a pivotal moment in Gunnebo Entrance Control’s long-term strategy. This move strengthens the organisation’s ability to support growth across North America and is a strategy aimed at positioning it for continued success in delivering advanced entrance control solutions that enhance security, efficiency, and accessibility.
