Connected Technologies has unveiled a noteworthy update to its Connect ONE® platform, designed to enhance video surveillance intelligence and improve integration with on-site security systems through expanded Network Video Recorder (NVR) compatibility.

Video analytics are reshaping surveillance by enabling cameras to proactively detect significant events, reducing the need for constant human oversight or merely responding to generic motion triggers.

The Connect ONE® platform’s Camera Motion & Analytical Event Capture utilises video analytics to automatically identify and register camera alerts, facilitating the management of both individual and multiple customer sites.

The real-time analytics generated are logged within Connect ONE®, where they create notifications and are presented in conjunction with associated intrusion and access control events.
These video-detected incidents can interact with connected systems by activating outputs, securing doors, and initiating mass notifications for audio alerts and digital signage. Even as users evaluate activity and manage access controls, live camera feeds remain active.

The Camera Motion & Analytical Event Capture within Connect ONE® offers significant functionalities. It links video verification with alarms and access control events, sending them to the NVR for bookmarking and preset camera control. Video-triggered incidents can be displayed in real-time, with alerts issued via email or SMS text.

Users can activate Connect ONE® Event Rules in response to triggers from the NVR, which include logging reports, user notifications, system management (such as arming, disarming, and lockdown), and capturing camera snapshots for archival purposes.

Virtual Zones can be established to log Motion & Analytical Activity, including the detection of vehicles or individuals, and these detection areas can be represented on GeoView satellite maps for expedited location identification. Additionally, integrated NVR health monitoring ensures continuous system uptime by providing status updates.

“Connect ONE recognises the importance of analytics and video verification for a safer, holistic security solution,” stated Dan Simon, Technical Director at Connected Technologies. He added that the company is committed to further development and the release of enhancements that empower partners and users by leveraging new technologies to streamline the management and control of installed solutions.

Connect ONE serves as a comprehensive cloud management platform, centralising system data and analytics for straightforward access, administration, and oversight.
