Organized by the Saurashtra Security & Surveillance Association (SSSA)—a professional body representing distributors, system integrators, professionals, and consultants in the security systems and IT sector of Gujarat’s Saurashtra region—the third edition of the event, held on January 10th and 11th, 2025, in Rajkot, was a tremendous success. SECURITY UPDATE had the privilege of attending and reviewing the show.
It was remarkable to witness the participation of major industry players, including PRAMA, CP Plus, UNV, TP-LINK, Trueview, Lenovo, Samsung, Toshiba, SECURUS, Hi-Focus, FYBER, BENQ, ASUS, Epson, LG, Digisol, and Cohesive, among others. Even more surprising was SSSA’s unique initiative to provide free meals—including lunches, refreshments, and dinners—to everyone present, setting a commendable precedent for such exhibitions.
The enthusiasm and dedication displayed by the association’s office bearers and members were truly unmatched, making this event stand out as a shining example of community-driven success in the industry.
Speaking to SECURITY UPDATE, Mr. Sunil Shah, the past president of SSSA who played a pivotal role in laying a strong foundation for the association, shared his insights. Even now, he continues to actively support the current president, Mr. Krunal Godhasara, and his team. He highlighted that the annual show is a collective effort by the members to give back to society and uplift the electronic security systems trade.
Mr. Shah emphasized that the association’s initiatives go beyond organizing the event. SSSA provided free meals to all attendees and even subsidized and reimbursed travel costs for visitors who traveled from across the region, including Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Jamnagar, Morbi, Bhavnagar, Botad, Veraval, Dwarka, and Ahmedabad.
With nearly 100 exhibitors and over 3,000 visitors on the first day alone, and with a total of 5500 on both days—primarily installers and system integrators of electronic security and IT systems—the show was undoubtedly a resounding success. Exhibits featured a wide array of products, including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection systems, A/V products, laptops, servers, and other IT-related solutions.
True to its mission, SSSA demonstrated its commitment to representing, promoting, and encouraging the growth and professional development of its members and the industry at large.
