ADI Snap One has introduced a new way for smart home integrators to become Control4 certified with the Control4 Certified Technician (C4CT) Program.
This new program, available in the US and internationally, offers both an online or in-person version and features hands-on learning using a full suite of professional equipment and tools, including networking, lighting, security, surveillance, climate control, audio, and video.
The training typically takes around 50 hours to complete all eight courses, including hands-on activities and practice labs. The programme is in-depth and engaging and includes both residential, and commercial components. It also features Control4’s latest OS release -X4.
Training new technicians and keeping experienced ones up-to-date is an industry-wide challenge. But by giving technicians the option to complete the C4CT training online or in-person, ADI Snap One is meeting the technicians where they are and significantly reducing the need to travel or disrupt ongoing projects. C4CT online is a flexible programme and allows technicians to become Control4 certified over time and on their own schedule, while still gaining valuable hands-on experience.
“This new certification programme is a key step in supporting our customers by expanding the number of highly skilled, certified Control4 technicians in the field,” said Ryan Marsh, SVP, Chief Revenue Officer at ADI Snap One. “It aligns perfectly with our Even Better Together initiative and our commitment to invest in innovation by making it easier to develop the expertise of technicians to deliver world-class experiences.”
The online version of the training is available to Control4 dealerships that meet specific criteria. To gain access, a set of criteria must be met including, at least one full equipment kit must be purchased at a specified cost, based on local currency. Additional technicians from the same dealership can access the courses and share the equipment kit for a small additional fee each.
The in-person version takes place at ADI Snap One global education centres at no cost to attend for the dealer or technician. C4CT content will be introduced over the next few months to complement and replace some of the current content to ensure a consistent experience whether a technician takes the training online or in-person.
“As a leading automation brand, we launched this new certification programme to help integrators future-proof their businesses, while delivering an exceptional Control4 experience to end-users worldwide. With no other training on the market for Control4 products, we are looking forward to offering our customers a flexible and one-of-a-kind opportunity,” added Marsh.
