ACRE, the parent company of Vanderbilt, RS2 Technologies, Open Options, ComNet, and Razberi, announced that it has been acquired by UK-based private equity firm Triton. According to a statement, ACRE’s previous majority investor, LLR Partners, will be exiting the business. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Established in 1997, Triton has 47 companies in its portfolio with combined sales of more than €18 billion and over 100,000 employees.

“We look forward to actively supporting the management and employees of ACRE as a stable owner by investing in the growth and development of the company. Our industry expertise and international network will further strengthen ACRE’s position as a leading global provider of intelligent electronic security solutions,” said Peder Prahl, Director of the General Partner for the Triton funds.

“As we reach our next stage of growth and strive to hit new milestones, we are pleased to welcome Triton as the partner to help us expand our presence and capabilities organically and via new acquisitions,” said ACRE CEO Joe Grillo. “This partnership will allow us to continue to invest in innovation and bring our market-leading solutions to customers.”
“ACRE operates in the structurally growing, fragmented and resilient electronic security market, with an attractive product portfolio and strong market position in the geographies it operates in,” added Sachin Jivanji, Investment Advisory Professional and advisor to the Triton Funds. “We look forward to partnering with Joe and the team as ACRE embarks on the next phase of its journey.”
